NLC Participation Rules
Effective: 8 August 2026 · Version 1.0 · Operated by Awesome Pegasus Limited (RC 8133373), trading as Titlewarslive Entertainment Concepts, Lagos, Nigeria.
1. Eligibility
- Open to registered, verified-eligible members aged 18 or over, resident in Nigeria for Season 1.
- Entrants need a working camera, stable connection and a quiet room for bracket matches.
- Written consent to recording and publication is required before any match is played.
2. Qualifying
- One entry per contestant: a single original clip, maximum 60 seconds, of your own comedic material.
- Selection to the bracket of eight: community 😂 reactions (50%) plus the Judges' panel score (50%). Seeds and scores are published with the bracket.
- Stolen or unlicensed material disqualifies the entry permanently.
3. Match format
- Single elimination. An on-screen random flip decides the first attacker.
- Alternating attack rounds of two minutes each; up to two full cycles per match.
- A “break” is: an audible laugh, or a smile that breaks the lip seal for more than one second, as ruled by a majority of three Judges. Covering the mouth or leaving frame counts as a break.
- Overtime — the water round: if neither contestant breaks, both take a mouthful of water; alternating 60-second attacks; the first visible spit, spray or swallow-laugh loses. Water-round outcomes are objective and final.
4. Conduct
- Attacks may be savage about the contest — never about family, tribe, religion, gender or appearance. First violation forfeits the round; second disqualifies.
- No dangerous props, no nudity, no unlicensed audio.
5. What the champion receives
- The one-of-one lineal title “The Unbreakable”, the Champion badge, and a permanent Hall of Champions entry.
- Custody — not ownership — of the championship belt. The belt remains the property of Awesome Pegasus Limited at all times, is held under a signed custody agreement, may never be sold or assigned a monetary value, and must be surrendered on defeat, vacation or demand.
- There are no cash prizes. Recognition is the entire stake.
6. Defenses
- The title is challengeable and defends on a quarterly cadence: once per season the champion must complete one mandatory defense within the season window, or the title is vacated. The NLC title change is the climax that ends each season.
- Platform-wide season ladder: Viral titles defend monthly, Talent titles every two months, and the NLC lineal title quarterly — the three nest into one season.
7. Decisions
Judges' verdicts are final in-contest. Appeals may be sent once, in writing, to contact@titlewars.live within 48 hours of a verdict.
